We were not at all satisfied with the hotel, the rooms were carelessly furnished, dark wood and dark carpets everywhere, price / performance ratio was in no way correct. Unfortunately never again ...

We stayed at the Inselhotel König for 4 days at the beginning of September this year and can only say “never again”! Across from the hotel (unfortunately exactly across from our room) there is a 24-hour Ballermann bar that will make you sleepless. When complaining at the front desk, the staff seemed overwhelmed and annoyed, as other guests also complained. A move to another room was not possible. Basically, the rooms are very old. There is no air conditioning in the rooms. Sleeping with the window open is not possible due to the noise situation described. We thankfully declined the offer of a fan from the hotel, as it hardly allows fresh air to be supplied. The bathroom doesn't even have an extractor fan. There is a strong smell of kitchen smells in the hallways of the hotel rooms every evening. The relaxation area of ​​the "wellness area" has the charm of an 80s ice cream parlor. The varied and generous breakfast buffet deserves the one star. The breakfast staff was also very friendly and committed. The hotel pretends to be a 4-star hotel and charges appropriate prices. We have already stayed in a few 4-star hotels that were much cheaper and the Hotel Koenig cannot hold a candle to them. We had hoped for a few relaxing days and found ourselves again in a Ballermann atmosphere with a kitchen smell and outdated rooms. Pity!

We were there at the end of September, but not as an overnight guest. The service was very friendly and helpful. Great service and good food. Except for one evening when it was raining a bit, the mask requirement was observed.

Unfortunately no entry for day tourists with suitcases and money. Corona didn't hit hard enough.

We stayed at the Inselhotel for 5 days and had the gym suite there. It was our "Flitterowchen-Light". The location of the hotel is very central and everything is within walking distance. Unfortunately a bit louder at night due to the party crowd, but you should expect that if you book a hotel in the center. The food was delicious and, thanks to half board, included in the room rate. There was a reduced evening menu for hotel guests, which was varied daily. So you found something every day and there was always something for vegetarians. Breakfast was great too! The room was very unusual, as the name suggests, in the tower. The bed was nicely decorated for us. The structure was a bit strange at first, as the bed was right by the door and you were practically right in the bedroom. But due to the structure of the tower, it is probably not possible otherwise. At the top there was a large double bathtub with bath salts. Unfortunately, the bathtub didn't look optimally cleaned, as a light deposit was noticeable. We only used it once. Unfortunately, the stairs are a very delicate matter, as they are extremely steep and, thanks to a space-saving design (half steps), you can step into the void very quickly. The sauna area was tried once. Everything is there that you need, albeit a bit old. The Bülow bar was also in the house and had a huge selection of gins. The cocktail menu was also very extensive. In terms of price, the cocktails were okay as good ingredients were used and the taste was very good. The gins, on the other hand, seemed quite expensive to us. It started for € 7.50, which is a proud price for 4 cl. The staff was very friendly and accommodating! Great hotel, great service, great food. Would love to come back for the third time

We stayed in the hotel for 4 days, the stay on Norderney was very nice. It was clear to us that the stay in the hotel would not be cheap, but you are at the age where you need a little luxury. We paid 229 € for the room and were really disappointed. Are actually regular customers of Best Westen Hotels, so the Hotel König didn't deserve 4 stars for me For the money we got a room that was undignified. The bed was only 1.60 wide and the room was very small And it was so loud that we and our dog hardly slept. Conclusion I would never book there again, I'd rather go camping, it's probably just as good
